Expertise
Maurizio has been working with the firm since 2018. He is a corporate criminal lawyer.
He deals in particular with legislation on the criminal liability of collective entities. His areas of expertise include: anti-money laundering and anti-corruption regulations, occupational safety, environmental law, and food law.
In addition to providing assistance and defense at criminal trials, he provides consultation on adopting and implementing the organizational models required by Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001. He is chairman and a member of supervisory boards at leading companies, including multinational corporations.
Since 2001, he has been editor of the journal “I Reati Societari” (www.reatisocietari.it), focusing on corporate criminal law, with a special emphasis on the administrative liability of legal entities.
He has been a lecturer since 2012 in Qualifying Training Courses under standard ISO 17024 for “Supervisory Board Members,” “231 Auditors” and “231 Experts,” certified by KHC, Bureau Veritas, and RINA. Since 2015, he has been a lecturer in the Master’s program in Governance, Control Systems and Auditing in Public and Private Entities at Roma Tre University.

Maurizio founded and chairs the Observatory on Compliance of Pharmaceutical Companies with Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001 (www.231farmaceutiche.it).
Since 2003, he has been an external member of the Anti-Money Laundering and Privacy Commission of the Consiglio Nazionale Forense (National Bar Council).
